Johnson Set for Meeting With Lawmakers Pushing Stock Trading Ban

Speaker Mike Johnson will meet with a small group of House Republicans on Thursday afternoon who will use the meeting to push for making a congressional stock trading ban part of the GOP’s agenda.

Reps. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) and Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) are among the lawmakers set to attend. House Administration Committee Chair Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) will also attend, according to the members invited.

Mace told Bloomberg Government at an exclusive round table on Thursday morning that the meeting was requested by the speaker.
