House Sends Trump Measure Reinstating Whole Milk in School Meals

Schoolchildren using federal meal assistance could use their benefits to buy whole milk for the first time in over a decade under a measure the House sent to President Donald Trump’s desk.

Lawmakers voted by voice Monday to suspend the rules and approve legislation (S. 222) that expands the purchasing options students have under the National School Lunch Program.
