House Passes Capital Formation Bill Aimed at Small Business IPOs

The House passed wide-ranging legislation Thursday aimed at making it easier for small businesses to go public.

The Financial Services Committee-led package of 22 bills encompasses Chairman French Hill’s (R-Ark.) capital formation agenda. The measure (H.R. 3383) would expand eligibility for companies to be Well-Known Seasoned Issuers, which makes it easier for them to issue securities, and establish a task force focused on financial scams that target the elderly.
