Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, Washington’s longtime, non-voting delegate in the House, is shutting down her campaign and appears ready to retire according a Federal Elections Committee report.

Holmes Norton’s campaign filed a termination report for her campaign earlier Sunday. The Democrat has been the focus of speculation about her future for months amid signs of declining health that already triggered primary challengers. Holmes Norton is 88 and has been in the House since 1991.
