Grassley Allows Vote on Treasury Nominees Caught Up in Tax Fight

A trio of President Donald Trump’s Treasury nominees are set to move toward confirmation on the floor after a key Republican released a hold that delayed their path forward because of a fight on solar and wind tax credits.

Senate Republicans are planning to move forward on a group of 108 nominees after they return from recess, which includes three key Treasury Department nominees: Brian Morrissey to be general counsel, Francis Brooke to be an assistant secretary and Jonathan McKernan to be an undersecretary.
