The last remaining nuclear arms control treaty between the US and Russia will expire Wednesday without any concrete negotiations or agreement to place limits on the world’s two largest nuclear powers.
Even so, the expiration of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty this week is starting to build consensus in Congress and with the Trump administration that a new negotiation and agreement must include limits on Russia’s new types of nuclear weapons and China’s rapidly growing arsenal.
