Employees in clean energy policy offices are among those who received layoff notices, the Energy Department confirmed this week.
The Trump administration issued reduction-in-force notices to staff in the Offices of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Clean Energy Demonstrations, State and Community Energy Programs, and Minority Economic Impact, press secretary Ben Dietderich said Tuesday night.
“All these offices played a major role in the Biden administration’s war on American Energy,” Dietderich said, according to an email. The department is realigning the offices to better reflect the Trump administration’s energy agenda, the chief department spokesperson said.
