Caribbean Flights Disrupted After US Airstrikes on Venezuela

US-based airlines early Saturday began canceling dozens of flights in the Caribbean airspace following the US airstrikes in Venezuela.

Affected destinations include Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and the US Virgin Islands, which are regularly serviced by American Airlines Group Inc., Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines Co., and other carriers, according to the airlines.

“Delta began cancelling flights early Saturday morning in compliance with FAA airspace closures in the Caribbean,” the company said in a statement.

The Federal Aviation Administration declined to comment Saturday.
