U.K.'s SFO Drops Some Suspects From Rolls-Royce Corruption Probe

The U.K.’s Serious Fraud Office has dropped some suspects from its corruption investigation into jet-engine maker Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc.

Some individuals were told that they’re no longer suspects, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor said Jan. 7, adding that it is continuing to investigate others. It’s not clear which individuals have been dropped from the probe, and the SFO wouldn’t comment further.

The development comes two years after Rolls-Royce paid 510 million pounds ($652 million) to resolve the SFO probe. The deal -- known as a deferred prosecution agreement -- allowed Rolls-Royce to escape prosecution as long as it abides by ...
