Maryland County Must Revamp Police Promotion Systems to End Bias

Prince George’s County, Md., must stop using its promotion systems for police officers after certain pending cycles are completed and revamp its promotion processes by October to end years of apparent discrimination against Black and Hispanic officers, a federal judge ruled.
