Haitian Man Cops to Cuban Baseball Player Smuggling Ring

A Haitian national pleaded guilty in federal court in Florida to conspiring with a sports agent and a trainer to smuggle Cuban baseball players into the U.S.

Amin Latouff entered a guilty plea Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida to one count of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. by making false statements; using false writings or documents; engaging in fraud or misuse of visas, permits, or other documents used for entry into the country; and knowingly transporting aliens within the U.S.
