Bentleys, Ferraris Allegedly Used in $1 Million L.A. Rental Scam

A Los Angeles-area man faces federal criminal charges of scamming people out of Bentleys, Ferraris, Porsches, and Maseratis by promising to take over their leases but instead renting them out and racking up their mileage.

Geoffrey Eldridge Hull, of Baldwin Hills, was arraigned Thursday in the Central District of California after a federal grand jury indicted him on six counts of wire fraud. He allegedly told the luxury car leaseholders his company could take over their high-end car leases, but instead of paying the leases off, he turned them into short-term rentals.
