White & Case has named a new leadership team as the global firm seeks to cap off a five-year growth plan.

The firm re-elected Hugh Verrier to his fourth consecutive term as chairman. His new four-year term will begin Sept. 1.

Also, for the first time in firm history, White & Case’s partners have elected a 50-50 gender split in the firm’s partnership committee.

The eight lawyers who will serve on the committee are: Washington-based partners Peter Carney, Nicole Erb, and Shamita Etienne-Cummings; New York-based partners David Hille and Eliza McDougall; London-based partner Gareth Eagles; Paris-based partner Andrew McDougall; and Shanghai-based partner Vivian Tsoi.

Verrier, who was first elected to as chair in 2007, also appointed New York-based commercial litigation partner Heather McDevitt to serve on the firm’s executive committee which includes São Paulo-based partner Don Baker and London-based partner Oliver Brettle. New York-based banking partner Dave Koschik will serve as vice chair of the firm.

White & Case is at the tail end of its ambitious five-year growth strategy launched in 2015 that sought to build its ranks in New York and London and grow its M&A, private equity, capital markets and disputes resolution practices.

“We have a lot to do to achieve our 2020 Strategy and we’re going to use that success as a springboard for what comes next,” Verrier said in a statement.
