UFC Must Face Fighter’s Claim It Concealed Doping, Caused Injury

A mixed martial arts fighter won reinstatement of his claims that Ultimate Fighting Championship caused him physical injury by concealing information that his opponent was using performance-enhancing drugs.

Mark Hunt may proceed with battery, fraud, and civil conspiracy claims against the UFC, its president, Dana White, and fighter Brock Lesnar, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled Sept. 24. The dispute stems from a bout against Lesnar on July 9, 2016.
