Trump, Kushner Lawsuit Over Clemency Task Force Dismissed

A federal judge in Washington, D.C., dismissed a lawsuit claiming that Donald Trump and senior adviser Jared Kushner violated the law by failing to make public information about a task force created in 2019 to assist the former president in using his clemency power.

American Oversight, which sued in March 2020, alleged that the defendants violated federal law by not filing a charter for the task force, not providing public notice of meetings, and failing to provide documents about the task force’s activities.
