Transgender Student’s Bathroom Suit Back in Spotlight (Corrected)

A federal district court reinstated a transgender student’s sex discrimination suit over his high school’s bathroom policy, putting the Virginia dispute back in the national spotlight.

Title IX’s prohibition on sex discrimination in schools includes discrimination on the basis of transgender status, Judge Arenda Wright Allen, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, said May 22.
