Tampa Bay Rays Settle Suit Over Foul Ball That Struck Fan

The Tampa Bay Rays Baseball organization settled a suit by a woman struck in the head with a foul ball while attending a game at Tropicana Field in 2016.

Counsel for plaintiff Priscilla McCarthy filed a notice of settlement as prevailing party in the Florida Circuit Court for Pinellas County Feb. 12 but didn’t disclose the terms of the agreement.

McCarthy, who is 75 years old, alleges she was attending a game between the Rays and the Boston Red Sox on June 29, 2016, when a player hit a foul ball.
