South Carolina’s Six-Week Abortion Ban Blocked by Federal Court

South Carolina is unable to deny a woman the right to have an abortion after fetal cardiac activity allegedly has been detected, as that can occur as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, months before any fetus could be viable, a federal court said Friday.
