Rye Playland Operator Ordered to Stay in Bankruptcy, Settle Row

The operator of waterfront amusement park Rye Playland should stay in bankruptcy to work out its contractual dispute with Westchester County in New York, a judge ruled.

The New York bankruptcy court’s Aug. 21 denial of Westchester County’s motion to dismiss the case comes months after it began clashing with Standard Amusements LLC over their 30-year contract to operate the public property and the historic amusement park.
