Planned Parenthood Keeps Attorneys’ Fees Win in Ohio RU-486 Suit

Planned Parenthood’s win of a limited preliminary injunction against an Ohio law regulating the use of RU-486 justified an attorneys’ fee award, the Sixth Circuit said July 25.

Although the case was eventually mooted, the injunction in place for 12 years created an exception to the ban to protect the health or life of the woman. That made Planned Parenthood a prevailing party, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said.
