Oklahoma Abortion Protesters Fail in Suit Challenging Noise Law

A Norman, Okla., noise ordinance doesn’t violate anti-abortion protesters’ free speech or exercise rights and isn’t unconstitutionally vague, the Tenth Circuit said Wednesday.

The city law, which prohibits playing “or creating loud or unusual sounds,” wasn’t directed at specific speech, infected with religious animus, or enforced solely against anti-abortion demonstrators, the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit said, affirming summary judgment for the city.
