Knicks Owner Says Video Disproves Oakley Assault (Correct)

New York Knicks owner James Dolan and Madison Square Garden asked the Southern District of New York to dismiss assault and battery claims by former NBA player Charles Oakley claiming “uncontroverted video evidence” proves that stadium security didn’t use unreasonable force in removing him from a game in 2017.

The video evidence “unequivocally demonstrates, from multiple angles,” that Oakley wasn’t grabbed or pushed to the ground but that he tripped and fell “while attempting to move away from MSG security officers who had asked him to leave,” Dolan told the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ...
