Kavanaugh, Roberts Could Steer D.C. Sniper Decision

Supreme Court arguments on juvenile sentencing in the case of the infamous D.C. Sniper Lee Boyd Malvo show that the direction the high court takes could be up to Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts.

Sentencing Showdown: Malvo, sentenced to life without parole for his role in the 2002 Washington-area rampage, wants a new sentencing hearing at which a judge will take his then-youth into account, based on high court cases favoring juveniles that were decided after his 2004 sentencing.
