U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh moved a bit closer to confirmation as Senate Republicans scheduled a vote on whether to send the nomination to the full Senate.
The committee vote was set for 1:45pm Thursday, Sept. 20 by a party-line vote of 11 to 10. Kavanaugh’s nomination is likely to proceed on a similar vote.
