Kansas College Must Face Most of Booster’s Title IX Lawsuit

A school volunteer and booster who says she was wrongfully retaliated against after she reported discrimination can proceed on the majority of her claims against Garden City Community College and its officials, a federal court in Kansas held.

Antonia Douglass, an active participant in GCCC programs, said she started receiving reports in 2017 about coach Brice Knapp’s allegedly inappropriate behavior toward female members of the school’s cheer squad. Douglass says the defendants banned her from the campus for supporting Title IX victims and speaking out on their behalf.
