Judiciary Calls Absence of Security Funding ‘Deeply Concerning’

Judiciary officials renewed a request for court security funding from Congress, calling a decision to leave federal courts out of a recent emergency appropriations bill “deeply concerning.”

The officials asked House and Senate leaders to include funding to further protect judges and “harden” federal courts in reconciliation or another appropriations measure soon, painting a dire picture of its current situation.
