High Court Urged to Pass on ‘Discrimination’ Abortion Law Row

There’s no reason to review a decision invalidating Indiana’s law prohibiting abortions for reasons related to the fetus’s race, sex, ancestry, or possible disability, a Planned Parenthood affiliate told the U.S. Supreme Court Dec. 4.

The law prohibits a doctor from performing an abortion before the baby is able to live outside the womb “where Indiana disapproves of” a woman’s reason for ending her pregnancy, Planned Parenthood of Indiana & Kentucky Inc. said. No court ever has allowed such a law to stand, PPINK said in its brief.
