The U.S. Supreme Court has passed on deciding if North Carolina’s state employee health plan is immune from a suit alleging its blanket refusal to pay for transgender health services is discriminatory, the top court announced Tuesday.
The North Carolina State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees asked the justices to review a split decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit that greenlighted the suit.
