Heineken Wins Beer Keg-Patent Battle Against AB InBev

AB InBev infringes Heineken patent for a beer-dispensing system, U.S. International Trade Commission says in notice posted on its website.

• Heineken won an order that blocks imports of AB Inbev’s countertop equipment to dispense draft beer, including the Nova system used with Stella Artois beer
• Companies are embroiled in fight over systems designed to create fresh-tapped flavor without the bulk and expense of a draft system
