George Hazel will join Gibson Dunn as a partner with the litigation and white collar defense and investigations practice groups in Washington, the firm said Wednesday.
Hazel, who most recently served as a US district judge for the District of Maryland, completed an 18-year public service career, according to Gibson Dunn.
He has also held the roles of the chief deputy state’s attorney for the office of the state’s attorney for Baltimore City, an assistant US attorney for the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, and an assistant US attorney for the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, Gibson Dunn said.
