A photographer who worked with Prince sued his estate in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota for allegedly using her photos without permission.
Madison Dube says the estate has “prioritized corporate interests over artists’ rights, in direct contravention of Prince’s well-known principles and legacy.”
Dube says Prince was a friend and mentor from 2013 until his death in 2016. In 2014, Dube says she was the art director for the CD version of Prince’s album “PLECTRUMELECTRUM,” which included several of her photographs.
