Lawyer in Sex, Blackmail Case Suspended by D.C. Court

Former Motion Picture Association of America General Counsel Steven Fabrizio was suspended on an interim basis by a District of Columbia court after he pleaded guilty to two felonies in July.

The Dec. 2 suspension order filed by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals directed its professional responsibility board to begin formal proceedings relating to the plea agreement, according to the court’s website.

Fabrizio pleaded guilty to one count of blackmail and one count of third-degree sexual abuse stemming from an encounter with a woman he met on a dating website, the court said.
