Estate of Detainee Who Died After Days of Vomiting May Sue Nurse

A Utah jail nurse must face a civil rights suit by the estate of a 21-year-old detainee who died after vomiting for four days straight and received no medical attention other than being told to drink Gatorade, the Tenth Circuit said.

It was clearly established in November 2016 that nurse Jana Clyde had to do more for Madison Jensen, the opinion by Judge Paul J. Kelly Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit said.
