Drivers Reach Settlement in California Toll Road Data Lawsuit

California drivers who alleged their license plate information was taken at toll booths and shared with third parties may benefit from a $1 million settlement to be reviewed by a federal district court.

The class of drivers struck a deal with the Orange County Transportation Authority and Cofiroute USA LLC. The parties sought the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California’s approval of the class action settlement in a motion filed Monday.
