Disney Defeats Male Employee’s Title VII Pregnancy Bias Lawsuit

A former male employee lost his suit alleging Disney Streaming Services treated pregnant female coworkers better than how he was received when his wife was pregnant when a New York federal court rejected his Title VII claims.

Steven Van Soren’s suit under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act amounted to a claim he was treated differently because of his familial status, but that isn’t a protected class under the statue, the opinion by Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said.
