Credit Union CEO Loses Suit Alleging Conservatorship Conspiracy

Claims brought against former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley and his legal adviser by the ex-CEO of Alabama One Credit Union claiming he was wrongfully terminated after the organization went into state conservatorship were properly dismissed, the Eleventh Circuit ruled Nov. 7, citing qualified immunity.

The ruling could mean the end to one part of a dispute that began in 2015, when former chief executive John Dee Carruth first sued Bentley and adviser David Byrne.
