Conviction in Bridgegate Scandal Brings Suspension in New York

A lawyer convicted of federal crimes in the lane closure scandal known as “Bridgegate” can’t practice law in New York for the time being, the New York Appellate Division, First Department announced June 13 (Matter of Baroni, 2017 BL 200068, N.Y. App. Div. 1st Dep’t, No. M-220, 6/13/17).

The interim suspension probably isn’t the top worry for William E. Baroni, the former deputy director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
