Colorado Cake Baker Can’t Refuse Gays

A Colorado cake maker can’t refuse to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples, the Colorado Court of Appeals said Aug. 13 (Mullins v. Masterpiece Cakeshop, Inc., 2015 BL 260229, Colo. App., 14CA1351, 8/13/15).

Masterpiece Cakeshop Inc. and its owner, Jack Phillips, violated the state’s anti-discrimination law when Phillips refused to make a cake for Charlie Craig and David Mullins’s 2012 wedding, the court said.
