March 12, 2021, 5:13 PM

Speaking from behind a plexiglass shield, with cameras rolling for the entire world to watch, the spotlight is on Judge Peter Cahill. He is the man presiding over one of the most significant court cases in a generation, the trial of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd.

In the second episode of the new season of [Un]Common Law, we talk to two lawyers who have argued before Judge Cahill, Mike Bryant, a criminal defense attorney based in the Twin Cities, and Nekima Levy Armstrong, a Minneapolis-based civil rights lawyer. Reporter Lydia Wheeler, who recently profiled Judge Cahill for Bloomberg Law, also joins us.
