Apple Suppressed App Store Search Results, Email App Maker Says

Email app maker Blix Inc. has added new allegations to a complaint against Apple Inc. in Delaware federal court Dec. 20, asserting that the tech giant manipulated search results in its iOS and MacOS App Stores to suppress results from third-party developers.

Apple used App Store search results to push consumers toward Apple apps, and worked to “‘lock in’ competition from a limited number of players in key application categories” to “impose additional barriers to entry for new and innovative software in those categories,” the amended complaint says.
