Ireland Faces Up to 2-Billion-Euro Tax Hit from Global Crackdown

Ireland could see an impact as large as 2 billion euros ($2.2 billion) on corporate tax revenue as a result of a global crackdown on companies using low-tax jurisdictions to avoid taxes.

The risk from those changes could total 500 million euros per year between 2022 and 2025, but the final number is uncertain and could be in the range of 800 million to 2 billion euros overall, the Ministry of Finance said in a Jan. 9 statement.
