Twitter’s Musk, Apple Clash Brings Momentum to Antitrust Bill

Lawmakers are seizing on Twitter Inc. CEO Elon Musk’s feud against Apple Inc. to push for a bill that would promote competition in the app economy.

Despite bipartisan buy-in for antitrust action against big tech companies, legislative efforts, namely the Open App Markets Act (S. 2710), have stalled in the Senate. Now, the bill’s backers are pointing to the feud as a reason to pass the bill in the final weeks of the congressional session.
