Senate Democrats are urging the Trump administration to stop the sharing of 3-D printed gun files over the internet.
Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and four other senators July 31 said they want President Donald Trump to reverse the State Department’s decision to allow Texas nonprofit Defense Distributed to post downloadable plastic gun blueprints.
“This is without question a huge national security and international security issue,” Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) said at a Capitol Hill news conference. “We need Trump to reverse his administration’s decision and to do it now.”
