Pallone Demands FCC Briefing on Carriers’ Sale of Location Data (1)

A top House Democrat is calling on Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai to brief lawmakers after an online news report that wireless carriers have sold access to their subscribers’ real-time location data.

“An emergency briefing is necessary in the interest of public safety and national security, and therefore cannot wait until President Trump decides to reopen the government,” House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone Jr. (D-N.J.) wrote in a letter to Pai.
