The four major broadcast television networks say the owner of over-the-air streaming service Locast can’t sustain claims in the Southern District of New York that allege they colluded to transmit weak television signals and intimidate its potential partners.
Locast’s counterclaims to the networks’ copyright infringement complaint “are patently defective as a matter of law and designed to generate discovery burdens,” the networks said in their filing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
