LinkedIn Advertisers Appeal in Suit Alleging Inflated Ad Views

LinkedIn Corp. advertisers who said they were overcharged for ads asked the Ninth Circuit Wednesday to revive fraud claims alleging the platform illegally inflated advertising metrics.

TopDevz LLC and Noirefly Inc. told the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California that LinkedIn falsely promises advertisers that they’ll only pay when someone clicks on their ad, not including fraudulent activity.

LinkedIn overstated the level of actual user engagement with its ads, the lawsuit alleged.
