Intel Wins Dismissal of Suits Over Security Vulnerabilities

Consumers lack standing to sue Intel Corp. over alleged microprocessor design flaws that they allege created security vulnerabilities and diminished the value of their computers, the District of Oregon said.

The plaintiffs, who sought to represent a nationwide class and state-specific subclasses, didn’t allege facts to show they were actually harmed, the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon said March 27. But they may filed an amended complaint.
