Florida Governor Wants New Law to Restrict Facebook, Twitter (1)

Florida’s governor and legislative leaders declared war on Big Tech on Tuesday, alleging censorship of conservative speech and laying out plans to impose a new state law limiting the control of social media companies over the use of their platforms.

Twitter Inc.’s permanent suspension of former President Donald Trump and Parler’s removal from app stores were cited by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and the state Legislature’s top Republicans as they described their plans for a measure targeting “convoluted and inconsistent standards for censorship and deplatforming.”
