Federal Mobile Device Metrics Shrank, and Vendors Aren’t Happy

Major players in the federal market for mobile devices oppose the government’s removal of reporting requirements covering more than a dozen cybersecurity metrics for their technology.

The backlash from mobile security and device management vendors like Lookout, VMWare, and Blackberry is aimed at changes to the federal cybersecurity reporting scorecard used to ensure agencies have the right level of information and hardware protection.
