Disbursing billions of dollars in funding to help millions of low-income households pay their internet bills and subsidize telehealth services during the Covid-19 pandemic is likely among the Federal Communications Commission’s early priorities under Democratic control.

Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, whom President Joe Biden tapped Thursday to be acting chairwoman, will play a role in implementing provisions in the recent economic stimulus, including a new $3.2 billion broadband subsidy program for low-income Americans.
